Why do you feel you are qualified to serve on the Virginia Tech Homecoming Court and your goals if you are selected Homecoming Queen or King?
“As a Virginia Tech student, the excitement and thrill that Homecoming brings in the fall is something that every Hokie looks forward to. Looking back to freshmen year, Homecoming was something that I desperately wanted to be a part of. As I supported my friend and role model Ron Forbes last year, I knew that this was something I needed to do. I believe that my spirit, love for this university, and diverse background would make me a qualified candidate for the Court. All those coupled with my motivation to serve on the Court would make me a very qualified candidate for the position.
If I were given the honor of Homecoming King, I would look to further promote the Homecoming tradition. I feel as if I am a very outgoing and approachable individual; therefore, I would look to make as many appearances as possible at any and all campus events, and strive to promote Homecoming to those not just in the Greek community. Chris and Melissa Trotman have done a fantastic job and have built the foundations for Homecoming. Lastly, it is an honor in itself to be chosen for the Court. I would look to bring court members along to various events to allow them to enjoy the many experiences as well!”
