Why do you feel you are qualified to serve on the Virginia Tech Homecoming Court and your goals if you are selected Homecoming Queen or King?
“Being a Hokie is one of the most important roles in my life. I am involved in many organizations and activities that build my love for our prestigious university. Through these roles, I have gained great knowledge of Virginia Tech's history, spirit and traditions. I am a people person and love to just listen and speak with others. I come from a long line of Hokies, and understand the importance of tradition at Virginia Tech. As Homecoming Queen, I would continue to be involved on campus, with alumni, and in the town. I would further reach out to the Virginia Tech community by attending events, communicating with students and the town about their ideas and needs, and participating in local group activities. Tradition and spirit are two of the most important principles that tie us all together as Hokies. I would like to start a new tradition of singing the Alma Mater at the conclusion of each football and basketball game. I would also like to make the “Old Hokie” a more common chant during all athletic events, rallies, and in general when showing our Hokie Pride.”
