Why do you feel you are qualified to serve on the Virginia Tech Homecoming Court and your goals if you are selected Homecoming Queen or King?
"Virginia
Tech is a university with numerous traditions
and an excellent reputation; being a nominee
for Homecoming Court for such a prestigious
educational institution is an extreme privilege. As
a nominee, I will continue to uphold our
motto, Ut Prosim, through the multiple university,
community service, and diversity organizations
of which I am involved. If selected
Homecoming Queen, I would embody Virginia
Tech’s spirit, tradition, and integrity
through my interest and dedication to university-wide
diversity. My most essential goal as Queen
would be to promote and celebrate the different
diversities on campus. By making Virginia
Tech students aware of the numerous opportunities
that are offered through multicultural programs
and various student organizations, I would
succeed in making my Homecoming goal a reality. Above
all, I hope to serve as an ambassador of
diversity relations to the Virginia Tech
community."
