Why do you feel you are qualified to serve on the Virginia Tech Homecoming Court and your goals if you are selected Homecoming Queen or King?
"As
a member of the
2009 Homecoming Court, I would want to serve
as a voice for the student population, a
role model for my fellow Hokies, and a resource
for my peers. I remember
during the week
of Homecoming last year that a large portion
of the student population did not know what
Homecoming was, why there was a court selected,
and felt that it didn’t
have anything
to do with them. I believe
that I am qualified
to serve on the court and make Homecoming
an event for all members of the community. Through
my leadership positions on campus and by
serving as a face for the community, I know
I can achieve progress with the court to
promote the outstanding spirit that comes
with the week and model the way for our
Hokie community. "
