Why do you feel you are qualified to serve on the Virginia Tech Homecoming Court and your goals if you are selected Homecoming Queen or King?
“Since arriving at Virginia Tech in 2005, I have dedicated myself to serving this community and my peers. I joined a variety of organizations and have held leadership positions in each. I believe it is just as important to gain experience outside of the classroom as it is to earn an education within. As a representative to the homecoming court, I plan to share that philosophy with a greater number in the Virginia Tech community. If elected homecoming queen, I will employ my passion for community involvement to encourage other students to find ways to make their unique contribution to the school and greater Blacksburg community. I view the position as an ambassador for Virginia Tech, and will dedicate myself to that role. As president of my sorority, I am constantly guiding others to find ways to give back. As homecoming queen, I would be able to reach more people.”
