"Becoming
a Virginia Tech
Hokie has been one of the most life-changing
decisions in my life. Over
the past 3 years,
my involvement in organizations and leadership
activities has shaped who I have become
today. During my time
at Tech, I have
had the privilege to befriend some of the
Homecoming Kings and Queens of the past
and present. The qualities
that I see in
them, their pride for their university,
their outgoing personalities and their unparalleled
dedication to fulfilling our motto, “Ut
Prosim,” are
all things that
I see in myself. Growing
up in a house
full of Hokies, I have come to understand
that tradition is the core of our Tech Family. If
I were to become the Homecoming Queen, I
would follow in the footsteps of past ambassadors,
while trying out new ideas like pulling
together the Tech and Blacksburg Community
through fairs, concerts and pep rallies
downtown."
